How to: Have an Evening at the Spa

Any girl would love to go to the spa everyday if she could, but let’s face it –
spas can be way too pricey. This doesn’t mean that those of us who can’t
afford to go to the spa shouldn’t be able to get the spa treatment. Here is
your guide on how you can pamper yourself in the comfort of your own
home. A nice relaxing evening of spa treatment just for you, but remember
you can always change it around a bit if you want to share this experience
with girlfriends.

Here is your list of the things you will need to create your own spa
treatment center:

Warm Towels (stick them in the dryer before)
Pack of cotton balls
Plain Yogurt (1 cup)
Honey (2 tablespoons, 1 teaspoon)
Lemon juice
1 Ripe Avocado
1 egg yolk
4 cups of powdered sugar
5 chamomile tea bags
1 cup of boiling water
1 green tea bag
A few of your favorite desserts
(brownies, cakes, cookies)

Your evening will begin with a Yogurt and Honey facial: In a bowl, mix
together 2 cups of the yogurt and 2 tablespoons of the honey. (For oily skin,
add teaspoon lemon juice to help absorb excess oil.) With clean hands or
cotton pads, apply the mask liberally to your freshly washed face and neck,
and leave on for 5 minutes. Rinse well with warm water, lightly pat dry with
cotton balls or a warm towel.

Next, it’s time for an Avocado body rub:
Mix together 1/4 to 1/2 mashed fresh
avocado, 1 egg yolk and 1 teaspoon
honey. Gently massage this treatment
onto your hands, arms, legs and feet,
and leave in place for 20 minutes. Rinse.
This natural treatment will revive your
dry and rough hands, feet, elbows and
knees. The avocado and egg nourish the
skin with proteins and oils. This
combination of avocado, egg yolk and
honey will leave your skin feeling silky
soft for weeks.

Now it’s time to get clean and relax with a Chamomile Milk bath: Steep
chamomile tea bags in water for 20 minutes then Strain the liquid. Mix 4
cups powdered milk 
with 1-cup boiling water. Mix the teas liquid with the
powdered milk liquid and add to running bath water. If you really want to
relax set up some tea candles around the bathtub and turn on some soft
music. Stay in the Chamomile bath as long as you are comfortable, but try
not to exceed 20 minutes. You will come out feeling clean, soft, relaxed and
refreshed. Grab a warm towel to dry off.

Now go hop into your most comfortable pajamas and have a nice cup of
green tea (which is a natural antioxidant), green tea taste best with a little
bit of sugar (splenda or equal is better) and honey. Then indulge in your
favorite desserts. Pop in you favorite movie or curl up with a good book.
