| Movie Review: Marley and Me If you want a movie that will make you laugh and cry and everything in between, then "Marley and Me" is the one for you. A popular book brought to life on film, you don't have to be a dog lover to appreciate the antics that Marley the dog performs. Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson play the parents of Marley the dog. They adopt him as a puppy to see if they will be ready to have children someday. Little did they know the amount of trouble, fun, and adventures that having a dog like Marley would bring to their life. In the movie you witness the life journey of Marley and his family from failing dog trainig school to playing on the all dog beach, Marley has his parents chasing him all over town. The movie shows you the amount of time and patience and a sense of humor one needs when dealing with an energetic dog - like being kept up all night or having a couch torn apart because Marley hates Thunderstorms - or when Wilson is in the backyard with a hose spraying dog poop down looking for the necklace Marley swallows. But in the end you witness true love, devotion, and friendship between a family and their dog, and how a dog's love and loyalty prevails. The movie is well done. You never want to see the closing credits. The acting and the cinematography is superb, and the use of dogs is well done. Ovr 20 dogs were used in the making of the movie to play Marley at all ages of his life. Pet owner or not, this is a must-see movie for all ages. |
