Great Fall Fashion Items

Everywhere you go, you can find a pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin pies at
peak sale, the leaves quickly adopting their golden hues and fluttering from
the trees. It is time once again to don your fall wardrobe. Fall has always
been my favorite fashion season, it’s warm enough that people will see what
you are wearing under your coat, your jacket doesn’t need to resemble the
coat of a wooly mammoth, scarves are still chosen for the cute factor. It is
one of the few times you can convince your parents that your health
depends on a new wardrobe, nobody wants the fall flu or pneumonia do
they?

So what does this fall have in store for us?

Take advantage of accessories. Starting with scarves there is nothing as cute
as a scarf that perfectly complements your outfit and makes you look like
you just stepped out of a Paris fashion mag. My new favorites are
pashminas, embroidered scarves that are generally fairly long and wide.
They are light enough that it doesn’t feel like you draped a sheep around
your neck but insulate well enough to keep you warm. When picking your
colors make sure you try to find one or a few that go with most things you
own. In my case I have a black one, brown one and light blue, but your
closet may require some other choices.

Tights are great under dresses, skirts, with boots, and even under jeans if
you’re worried about the temperature. Find patterns you like, maybe get
some knit ones or footless. The options are endless and the cute points they’
ll add to your outfit is well worth the search for the right pair.
Maybe it’s just me but fall colored jewelry has always been of particular
interest.  There is something about the way red complements gold and
bronze that sends me into a tizzy. Pick up a few necklaces to dress up jeans
and a sweater outfits. Find earrings shaped as leaves to dazzle your fall
loving friends.

Fall is not all about the little things though; this is prime coat season too.
When shopping for a jacket it is important to keep a few things in mind. 1.
Will the jacket you want actually protect you from the elements of the area
in which you live? If you come from a rainy town you NEED to find a
waterproof jacket; it doesn’t matter how cute you look, if you are wet you’ll
be miserable. 2. Can you wear it with just about everything you already
own? There is no point in investing in something you can’t actually wear.
Once you have completed the above checklist, make sure you actually like
the jacket. Chances are you will end up wearing it pretty frequently and if it
makes you feel like a snowman that may become an issue.

Top trend on the fall runway? Fall boots that are decked out with some
extra charm. Sadly boots are usually pricey if you want the cute ones, but
luckily for you, Target has stocked on some cute ones this season. This will
keep your feet warm and are the perfect addition to a fall party outfit.
The best way to update your wardrobe is to do it bit by bit, add little things
like tights and boots and scarves. Layering adds a cute touch to all outfits.
Find cheap ways to reproduce the things you see in fashions magazines,
with a little effort it's never too hard!
