Northwestern University is located in Evanston, Illinois, about 12 miles north of downtown Chicago. Home to nearly 8,000 undergraduates (and many more graduate students!) Northwestern is known throughout the country for its strong academic programs and the wide range of student activities offered. Incoming first-year students may choose from over 80 areas of concentration (or majors). Most incoming first-year students live in doubles in residence halls, and live on a meal plan. Students may choose to live in co-ed or single sex residence calls. Northwestern also has a variety of dining venues for students on the meal plan, including traditional cafeterias and on-the-go eateries. |
