Taylor - 14 - Jupiter, FL
Amanda - 18, Queens, NY
Dallas - 17 - Vancouver, WA
Jessie - 16 - Albany, NY
Samantha - 18 - Queens, NY
Taylor - 14 - Jupiter, FL

Taylor’s passion in life is music. She had the honor of being the
youngest pianist from Florida to be featured on NPR. Not only is she
herself accomplished, but she also devotes her energy to helping
budding musicians. By the age of 14, she had already started the
Beethoven Beetles Foundation, an organization that gives instruments
and lessons to youth. Taylor is an All-star across the board, having won
awards for martial arts, handwriting, and academics. Her goals for the
future are to travel the world and become a concert pianist, and she is
motivated by her own desire for self-improvement and simply loving
what she does.
 Amanda - 18 - Queens, NY

As a Teen Leader at Girls Quest, Amanda helps girls from low-income
families achieve their full leadership potential. In addition to
developing her own leadership skills, she has avidly studied music.
Amanda is a vocal student at a performing arts high school, and she has
performed in concerts at the U.S. Open, the Five Year Ceremony for
911 at Ground Zero, and the United Palace. She also devotes her free
time to music and recently finished recording an EP. Amanda will
continue her study of music, specifically musical theatre, in the fall at
the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
 Dallas - 17 - Vancouver, WA

Dallas is a paragon of youth activism and proof of the world of
difference one teenager can make. She is the founder and spokesperson
of Just Yell Fire, a nonprofit organization that educates girls to keep
them safe from sexual assault. She travels across and even out of the
country to speak at schools, organizations, and conferences about
safety. Her book, Young Revolutionaries Who Rock, is a guide for
teenagers who also want to change the world, and it was debuted on The
Today Show in March. In the fall, Dallas will attend Vanderbilt
University in Nashville, Tennessee.
       Samantha - 18 - Queens, NY

Samantha has been a proud part of Girls Quest for 11 years both as a
camper and a Teen Leader. As a camper, she had fun participating in the
various outdoor summer activities, but it also taught her invaluable
skills she will never forget such as team building and standing as an
individual. As a Teen Leader she enjoyed the literacy program, planning
camp activities and being an activities assistant. This year Samantha
will attend Hood College in Frederick, Maryland and major in Biology.
She plans to pursue a career in the plastic surgery industry for both
reconstructive and cosmetic purposes. She also plans to become part of
the community as a volunteer and also strives to be an honors scholar.
     Jessie - 16 - Albany, NY

Jessie is an All-star due to her awareness of the world around her. She
uses her artistic abilities to make crafts year round and donates the
proceeds to the Hand in Hand Center for Jewish-Arab Education in
Israel. There are currently four Hand in Hand schools, and their
mission is to promote peace and understanding among Arab and Jewish
children through bilingual and multicultural education. Jessie also set
up a website where the students of the Hand in Hand schools can
interact with students in the United States. She is dedicated to fostering
cultural understanding and is surely on her way to making a long-term
difference.
